Succulents can grow in any number of ways, but this particular plant is an unusual addition to any plant collection. The Nevada Taco Leaf, or Peperomia Axillaris, is an interesting example of a plant with “leaf windows”; the tops of the curled leaves are the only spots where sunlight can enter, meaning this plant does a very good job of regulating its sunlight intake. With proper care, will grow up to 12″ tall.Propagate easily by placing stem cuttings in water and allow to root.Lighting:Medium to bright indirectWater:When the soil is completely dry and very sparingly in winter.Soil/Potting:Plant in a well draining soil (cactus mix or potting soil and sand 1:1) in a container with a drainage hole and made of slightly porous material like ceramic. Keep soil shallow to allow for proper drying. Repot annually or when plant exhibits discoloration without the presence of any mis-watering habitsFertilize:Monthly with bacterial inoculant recomended for steady growth and to promote floweringTemperature:Room temp, protect from harsh fluctuations in temperature particularly in the winterToxicity:Non-toxic for humans and pets; still definitely not tasty..Got plant questions?
