Creeping Fig
$12.99 – $34.99
(Listing for Plant Only,Shop Pots and Planters)Trailing | Lively | CalmingCreeping fig is a very rewarding addition to any collection for its tendency to “creep” and climb on everything around it, covering the ground and climbing up nearby structures to lend the entire space a viridescence that’s easy to maintain. As they vine and climb up things, their aeroid roots will secrete a waxy latex substance that hardens and adheres the roots to that surface. Unlike other climbing plants, you’ll find that this plant requires very little physical support – but it’s still fun to give it something to climb on and watch it cover it!Lighting:Bright, indirect light.Water:Likes to be kept moist, but not soggy. Water once the top 1″ of soil has dried.Soil/Potting:Plant in a well draining soil in a container with a drainage hole and made of slightly porous material like ceramic or sealed concrete. Repot annually or when plant exhibits discoloration without the presence of any mis-watering habits.Fertilize:Monthly with bacterial inoculant recommended for steady growth and to promote richer coloration in the foliage.Temperature:Room temp (55-85 degrees is ideal). This plant is hardy all the way down to 34 degrees, but protect it from harsh fluctuations in temperature particularly in the winter.Toxicity:This plant is toxic to humans and pets.Got plant questions?
