They come in many varieties but the recent favoritism of the Syngonium rayii is apparent.With deep green velvety leaves, a flashy silver streak in the center of each leaf, and a elegant draping growth pattern, what could you possibly not love about it?Syngonium grow in a beautiful dome shaped mound and will occasionally send out a dreamy runner. When fully formed and hanging syngoniums are dreamy cascading beauties!Lighting:Medium to bright indirectWater:When ~1 inch of topsoil is dry. Slight dry out between watering but ideally keep damp but not overly wet. Syngonium are tollerant to medium to high humidty so are great candidates for terrariums and vivariums. High humidity is not needed but will certainly make for happier plants. Use a mister, humidifer or keep under glass for easy humidity control.Soil/Potting:Plant in a well draining soil in a container with a drainage hole and made of slightly porous material like matte or glazed ceramic. Keep soil damp to moist. Repot annually or when plant exhibits discoloration without the presence of any mis-watering habitsFertilize:Monthly with bacterial inoculant recomended for steady growth and to promote floweringTemperature:Room temp, protect from harsh fluctuations in temperature particularly in the winterToxicity:Contain small amounts of calcium oxalate, ingestion may result in slight discomfort in the mouth or stomach. Ingestion of a large volume of plant matter or have a particuar sensitivity may experience gastrointestinal distress (from one end or the other) but is rarely serious.
